Stainless Steel 321 / 321H Flanges are made up of a titanium stabilized chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel that is resistant to intergranular corrosion. The added titanium makes the material strong and safe against intergranular corrosion at temperature ranging from 425 degrees to 850 degrees Celsius. The operating temperature for these flanges can range up to 700 degrees Celsius. The Class 150 ANSI 321/321H Flanges are some of the low pressure class flanges. There are classes ranging from 150 to 2500 and from PN6 to PN64. These classes together with schedules and standards determine the pressure containment capacities of the flanges. The flanges can differ in type such as the SS UNS S32100 Orifice Flange and they can range in nominal bore sizes from ½ inches to 48 inches. The standard for this sizes scale is the B16.5. The ANSI B16.5 SS 321 Blind Flange is a special type of flange because it closes a connection unlike creating a connection with another pipe.
