Alloy 20 Flanges are made up of a nickel chromium molybdenum alloy that has high resistance to sulfuric acid and has high melting point. The ASTM B462 Alloy 20Cb-3 Slip On Flanges are used for connections that involve seamless pipes and adjusting the connection locations. They allow the pipes to slip onto them so that the pipes could be precisely positioned. The Alloy Werkstoff No 2.4660 Threaded Flanges are one particular specification with threads. There are threaded, welded or bolted flanges. Depending on the use case and the application, the method of connection differs. The ASME SB462 Alloy 20Cb-3 Socket Weld Flanges are welded to the pipes. They have a socket piece welded onto them which holds the pipes in place for ease of welding and for extra strength. The Alloy 20 RTJ Flange has a ring type joint that allows the pipes to be welded to two halves of the flanges and then be connected together.
