Mr. Mohanlal Tarachand Shah, Director of Roopam Steel

I still firmly believe what I did on day one: Trust is the ultimate foundation of any successful relationship. Over the years we have made mistakes and learned from them but we have never broken a partner’s trust. Our corporate tagline reflects this belief: ‘No Substitute for Trust.’

Inspired by our name's Sanskrit origin – “Rupa”, meaning Form or Shape - we aspire to expand our manufacturing capabilities until we can deliver piping solutions in absolutely any shape, configuration, or material grade known to global industry.

Zero Terminations

We build careers, not headcounts. To this day, no employee has ever been laid off or fired from Roopam Steel. Every departure has been a personal choice or a health-related transition supported by the management.

Our Founder’s Desk

Success hasn’t moved our compass. Mr. Mohanlal Shah still works out of our original Mumbai office space. For him, staying in the room where it all began keeps our leadership grounded and accessible.

Our Legacy

  • 1996

    Roopam Steel began its journey in Mumbai under the guidance of Mr. Mohanlal Tarachand Shah.

    Initially operating as a customer-centric trader of piping and tubular products, we prioritized client needs above everything else.
  • 2003

    Catering regularly to clients all over India, Roopam Steel saw the opportunity of overcoming the delays in projects and started stocking piping products of Stainless Steel well in advance just to make sure the client receives the products on time. This move of ours shifted us from a trader to a proud stockist.

  • 2007

    Our founder, Mr. Mohanlal took a huge leap of faith and invested his life savings to build our very first pipe and tube factory in GIDC Manjusar, Vadodara.

    Till date that was the company’s boldest move which is now our ultimate stepping stone, transforming Roopam Steel from a stockist into a proud, self-reliant manufacturer of pipes and tubes. The grades that we started our factory were of Stainless Steel but now we cater Nickel Alloys & Titanium as well. Today, we are proud to be recognized as a Tier 1 manufacturer - a milestone we owe to our team's dedication and our clients' trust.

    Our team recognized that sustainable and trustworthy manufacturing requires strict accountability and traceability. To ensure the highest standards, we implemented quality frameworks and achieved our core ISO certifications.

    To better serve our growing clientele, we marked our official entry into the digital space with the launch of www.roopamsteel.com

  • 2011

    After all the international compliance and documentation, Roopam Steel decided to step out of their comfort zone and looked beyond borders. This step helped Roopam Steel in learning different global requirements and customer specifications. To this day, our customers continue to help us discover new global practices and requirements. Roopam Steel is recognized today as a Tier 1 Exporter, direct to major global markets.

  • 2013

    Your continuous trust and partnership helped us in expanding our manufacturing capabilities and we started with a production plant for pipe fittings at Taloja, Maharashtra. This milestone allowed us to start a new supply chain where we integrated our outputs from our pipes and tubes factory in this plant in order to manufacture at lower overheads and offer competitive prices.

  • 2015

    Listening closely to our global clientele, we understood that project managers often preferred a single source for their entire piping needs. To bridge this gap, we established a flange manufacturing setup with our fittings plant at Taloja, Maharashtra. Today because of that decision we are able to provide our customers a complete package of all the piping components under one roof.

  • 2017

    We realized that ISO certifications were just the beginning. Roopam Steel successfully achieved the PED (Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU) which helped us explore the European market as well.

  • 2018

    Roopam Steel still focuses on continuous learning and is constantly trying to get better.

Yes, absolutely. We provide material traceability with every single order. Depending on what your project requires, we can issue either EN 10204 Type 3.1 or EN 10204 Type 3.2 certificates.

We work on a structure of 30% advance and 70% before dispatch (Shipping documents and test certificates accompanied).

We also accept 100% Letter of Credit (LC) at sight or Cash Against Documents (CAD).

If you have a specific requirement, just talk to us before placing the order, we are always open to a discussion.

We have been shipping globally since 2011. Today, our products are trusted across the world, including USA, Canada, Spain, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Kenya, Uganda, and many more. Wherever your project is, we can reach it.

We handle everything from factory pickup to doorstep delivery. We offer Ex Works, FOB, FCA, CIF, DAP, and DDP. Just let us know how you want it shipped, and our logistics team will take care of the rest.

Yes, we stand behind our quality 100%. Every product comes with a full manufacturing warranty for 16 months from the date we ship it, or 12 months from the day it gets installed on your site whichever comes first.

We pack every item securely so it arrives in perfect condition. Depending on the size of your order, we use heavy-duty HDPE bundles, pallets, crates, or solid wooden boxes.

Everything is fully treated, fumigated, and marked strictly according to international export regulations (ISPM-15).
