Monel 400 Pipe is made up of a single phase nickel copper alloy that is made up of solid solution annealing and can operate from cryogenic temperatures to high temperatures up to 800F. It could be cold worked to increase the strength. It has up to 63% nickel and that makes the material resistant to most acids and a variety of corrosive conditions. The Monel 400 Seamless Pipe is used in applications such as food processing, acid processing, chemical processing and in extremely salty water handling.

ASTM B725 UNS N04400 pipes come in different standards. The seamless pipes and tubes are in SB 165, the welded pipes come in SB725 standards. The Alloy 400 Welded Pipe is produced through welding procedures. These welded from either a strip or plate of the same material grade. Seamless pipes are drawn from a single piece of material therefore there is no seam and the absolute roughness is very less. The SB 165 UNS N04400 is used in valves, propeller shafts, fresh water applications, sea water applications, process vessels and piping, electronic components, springs, marine fixtures and so on.
